About Me

Welcome to My Ruby Heels.

I was only about 5 years old when I got my first pair of heels. They were the colour ruby. They were not so high, but they were high enough for a young and impressionable little girl. I remember that as I walked on them the first time, it felt like I was going to fall off, so I walked slowly, bending down from time to time to balance myself. And my Mum said to me, “Walk Straight. You are a few inches above the ground, so the ground won’t help you move and it won’t stop you from moving. But you must move. Your feet are counting on you to move them to where you want them to be. ”

And so, I have moved and I still moving. Growing. Learning. Unlearning. I have learnt to look for inspiration when I feel slowed down. And I have been inspired.

This is one of my life’s most important lessons: before you can inspire anyone, you must first be inspired.

I have learnt that to go through life without inspirations and motivations is to make the already hard journey even more tedious. I have learnt that motivation and inspiration are like vitamins, everyone needs their daily dosage.

As a Coach, Teacher, Business Communications Consultant and Motivational speaker, life and work has taught me that we all need to share, to build each other up, to learn and to grow.

A love for God, a passion for living, learning and writing, a deep rooted admiration for the human spirit and a generosity of heart and spirit that runs deep is the driving force behind my work.

My faith ensures a peace and unending joy which has seen me through many of the life’s storms that I have had to weather.

And, I have learnt that the best way to live a life of impact is to share your life’s lessons as you learn them, to share your inspirations as you receive them.
And so, MyRubyHeels was born. A platform to share inspirations, motivations and gentle reminders about the things that truly matters in life.
